Jaime de la Rocha

I studied physics in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1992-97) and did my PhD in the computational group of Néstor Parga. I was trainned as an electrophysiologist in the laboratories of  Alex Reyes in the Center for Neural Science (NYU) and of of Ken Harris in the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience (Rutgers, Newark). In 2010 I started my own group in IDIBAPS (Barcelona)  as a  Ramón y Cajal MINECO  researcher. Since 2015 I am a permanent Group Leader at IDIBAPS and the co-PI, together with Albert Compte, of the Brain Circuits and Behavior Lab.  Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family,  cooking, hiking and going to the beach.
