Carles Sindreu
I am a neurobiologist. I did my master´s thesis on brain neurotrophins at University of Lund, Sweden, and then a PhD on synaptic zinc at University of Barcelona. I moved for a postdoc to the University of Washington, Seattle, to study the role of adenylate cyclases on signal transduction during memory formation. I returned to Barcelona as a Ramón y Cajal researcher to clarify circuit mechanisms of memory recall, and the role of tyrosine phosphatases on signal integration. Now in the Brain Circuits and Behavior lab, I am implementing molecular approaches to map functional circuits subserving decision-making and working memory in health and disease.
