The BCB collaborates in the '17th Science Festival of Barcelona 2024'

As in previous years, members of the Brain Circuits and Behavior Lab, participated in the annual science festival organized by the Ajuntament de Barcelona “17a Festa de la Ciència” on June 9th, 2024. The activity was organized with our soul mate lab, the Computational Neuroscience Group at the CRM. Particpants included Manuel Molano, Leon Mahrach, Caterina Barezzi, Adrià Moran, Kostas Chatzimichail and Jaime from the BCB; and Alex Garcia-Durán, Alexandra Antoniadou and Klaus Wimmer from the CRM.
We prepared our Neural Code game and brought our gadgets from Back Yard Brains which were a blast. In particular, the Human-to-human interface to describe motor control and “the Claw” to talk about neuroprosthetics, are always a great success among kinds and grown-ups (see video below, courtesy of CRM Communications team). As usual the activity with the gadgets went on longer than planned as there were still many people interested in playing with them.
