The BCB participates in the 'Festa de la Ciencia'

As in previous years, members of the Brain Circuits and Behavior Lab, participated in the annual science festival organized by the Ajuntament de Barcelona “16a Festa de la Ciència” on June 10th, 2023. The activity was organized with our soul mate lab, the Computational Neuroscience Group at the CRM. Particpants included Alexis, Leon and Jaime from the BCB; and Lucia Arancibia, Anna Wilson, Miguel Donderis and Klaus Wimmer from the CRM.
We prepared a talked about the neural code with our best-selling interactive game “Cracking the code”. We also brought our gadgets from Back Yard Brains which were a blast. In particular, the Human-to-human interface to describe motor control and “the Claw” to talk about neuroprosthetics, are always a great success among kinds and grown-ups (see the faces in the pics!). In fact, the activity with the gadgets went on another hour after our slot was over as there were still many people interested in playing with them. Overall, and as usual when we engage in this type of activity, it was a lot of fun and good boding time between us.
