ERA-NET Final Meeting Barcelona
On June 6-7th we had our final ERA-NET consortium meeting at IDIBAPS with the groups of Phiiipp Sterzer (UPK, Basel), Tobias Donner (UKE, Hamburg) and Peter Uhlhaas (Charitè, Berlin). For two days, members of the different groups presented their final reports describing the state of their experiments and analyses. Particularly intersting were the paralell presentations of Alessandro Toso (UKE), Anke Braun (Charitè) and Alexis Cervan (IDIBAPS) comparing the results of an equivalent perceptual categorization task in schizophrenic patients and human volunteers and mice under the effect of NMDAr blockes. We also had the kind contributions from some members of the Barcelona scence who study the role of NMDA receptors in perception and memory: Albert Compte (IDIBAPS) and Josep Dalmau (ICREA/H. Clinic/IDIBAPS). Our final discussion made clear that we learned a lot from the work done during these three years and that we made substantial progress. But also that there is stil much to be done. So stay tune for more from this collaboration.
