Software/Hardware Technician

We offer:

• A 2 years contract to become the Lab technician of our team, participating in the design and development of new experiments.

• Opportunity to develop a new behavioral system to automatically train rodents in decision-making tasks.

• A unique opportunity to put into practice programming and control systems theory in an innovative and creative research setting .

You will:

• Develop a new experimental computer-controlled set-up to train and record from multiple animals simultaneously. The set up requires to program in Python, the use of Arduino boards as well as to have basic notions of electronics.

• You will also develop prototype devices and set-ups for new experiments involving animals behavior.

• Skills on Video analysis will be also valuable

• Knowledge administrating Linux computers is also important.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written). Notions of Spanish or Catalan will be a plus.

• The position can also be part-time in case the candidate wants to simultaneously study (e.g. undergraduate or Master degree)
