Muhammad Baba Goni
I am a Software Engineer with a robust academic background in Computer Science. I graduated from Yobe State University in 2023 and currently serve as an Assistant Lecturer, as well as a Research Software and IT Engineer at BioRTC. My interest in computational neuroscience grew significantly after attending the Computational Neuroscience Summer School 2025 at BioRTC, where I also served as a Teaching Assistant. This experience inspired me to further explore how biological neural networks function and how computational approaches can be used to model and understand them. To build practical experience in this field, I completed a two-month internship at the IDIBAPS Brain Circuit and Behavior Lab, in collaboration with Jordi Soriano’s Lab at the University of Barcelona, Faculty of Physics, under the guidance of Principal Investigators Prof. Albert Compte and Jaime de la Rocha, where I gained hands-on experience in network analysis, neural culture recording, and computational modelling.
