Pablo Estévez

I graduated from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) as Bachelor of Science in Fundamental Physics. Driven by my interest in complex systems and neuroscience, I pursued a Master's degree in Biophysics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). My master's thesis aimed at developing a realistic simulation environment for cortical columns with synaptic plasticity.

I am currently doing my PhD under the supervision of Prof. Albert Compte on how brain hemispheres communicate and coordinate to form, maintain, and use working memory, using computational models of prefrontal and frontal eye field networks alongside experiments in awake behaving monkeys.
