Open position: animal technician [This position is already Filled]
We are looking for a highly motivated person to work as an Animal Technician in our laboratory. The candidate should ideally already have the certificate to work with Laboratory Animals, some experience working with mice or rats, fluent English, computer skills, communication skills, ability to work in a team, responsible and oriented to the detail and the capacity to attend to multiple simultaneous tasks. The candidate should have a Laboratory Technician Degree or a Bachelor’s degree (biology, psychology, etc).
The tasks to acomplish will be:
Training of mice in a cognitive tasks.
Supervision of behavioral experiments.
Maintainance of a high throughput automatic set-up for rodent behavior.
Elaboration of periodic experimental reports.
Simple stereotaxic surgeries for head-plate or intra-cranieal cannulas implantation.
Participate in group meeting and in the research project.
